Full day tour to Vergina, the first capital of ancient Macedonia and Naousa, the vineyard paradise.

Vergina, identified with ancient Aigai, listed as a World Heritage site, was the first capital of ancient Macedonia. The today small village became world known due to the discovery of the Royal Tombs as there, was supposed to be the burial place of the Macedonian Kings and especially the discovery of the Tomb of Philip II, father of Alexander the Great.

The tour includes a visit to the newly completed and exceptional tomb-museum.
Feast your eyes on the marvelous treasures; all masterpieces of ancient Greek art dated back to the 4th century B.C., such as golden wreaths, silver vessels, miniature sculpture, paintings etc exhibited in the unique museum.

Continue to Naousa and visit Chrisohoou traditional winery.
Naousa has always been considered the crown jewel of the Macedonian wine region, and to this day is one of Greece's best-known regions among foreigners. Join the guided tour to the winery, watch the wine-making process, see the cellars and test three labels of the most famous wines produced in the area thus making your visit to the winery a rich aesthetic and cultural experience.

  • 10:30 Depart for Vergina
  • 11:10 Arrive at Vergina
  • 11:30 Guided tour at the Royal Tomb – Museum
  • 13:00 Depart for Chrisohoou winery
  • 13:30 Arrive at the winery, guided tour and wine testing
  • 14:30 Depart for St. Nicolaos forest for lunch by the river
  • 15:00 Lunch time
  • 16:30 Depart for Chalkidiki
  • 18:00 Leave your guide at Thessaloniki
  • 18:30 Short coffee break and toilet stop
  • 19:00 Depart for hotel
  • 20:00 Arrive at Porto Carras Grand Resort. End of tour.
